How the Aer Lingus price is calculated
Aer Lingus places the routes in its published chart into six zones. Each zone has a one-way Economy price for peak and off-peak travel; Zones 5 and 6 also publish Business prices. The calculator adds the two legs of a return separately and then multiplies by the number of passengers.
For example, Dublin to New York is Zone 5. The current chart lists 13,000 Avios off-peak or 20,000 peak in Economy, and 50,000 off-peak or 60,000 peak in Business, one way.
What the result does not include
The result does not query live seats and excludes government taxes, fees and charges. Routes and seasonal operation can change even while a chart remains published. Use the estimate to plan, then check the exact itinerary through Aer Lingus before transferring or buying Avios.
Peak and off-peak dates
Aer Lingus publishes annual peak-date calendars separately from the route chart. Select the correct pricing for each leg rather than assuming a whole return has one season. See the Aer Lingus Reward Flights guide for the booking workflow.
