Move Avios between BA and Qatar

1. Join both British Airways Club and Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
2. Make sure the first name, last name and date of birth match.
3. Sign in through Qatar's official linking page and follow the prompts.
4. After confirmation, use Combine Avios to choose the direction and amount.

Qatar currently describes moves between linked BA and Qatar accounts as instant and free. It also says members can move Avios between the accounts as many times as they like. Verify the live screen before confirming in case programme rules have changed.

Combine Avios moves the shared reward currency between your linked accounts. Qpoints are Qatar's status measure and are not transferred to British Airways. A move also does not convert Avios into cash or change the underlying identity details on either account.

Qatar describes transfers as available in both directions and says members can move Avios as many times as they like. In practice, a later move in the opposite direction can restore the balance, subject to both accounts remaining linked and the live rules still allowing it. Check the destination account and amount carefully before confirming.

Search the intended reward first, then move only the Avios needed. The same currency can unlock different routes and booking options in each programme, while taxes and availability can differ.
